Adolph Lippe put Hahnemann’s teachings perfectly into practice and was, according to André Saine, the most successful practitioner in the history of homeopathy. So within three hours of the request, Saine agreed to write a foreword to the German translation of Lippe’s Textbook. The book was long a staple work in the English-speaking world and finally appeared in German translation in 2003. Saine gives an insight into the biography and significance of Adolph Lippe, who came from an old German aristocratic family and whose full name was Adolph Graf zur Lippe Biesterfeld-Weissenfeld.
